Psychiatrist Christopher Fabian, M.D., has been named MMC Physician of the Month for July. Presenting the award is Chief Medical Officer Kenneth Granet, M.D. They were joined for the presentation by members of the hospital’s and Behavioral Health senior leadership and team members.
Long Branch, NJ, July 26, 2023 – Christopher Fabian, M.D., an attending psychiatrist for the adult inpatient behavioral health units, is the hospital’s July Physician of the Month. Dr. Fabian, who joined MMC in 2010, was praised as kindhearted and someone who truly cares about each patient. Among the additional comments received in Dr. Name’s nominations were:
“Dr. Fabian treats his nurses with respect, provides excellent communication with the treatment team to improve patient and staff safety, and always makes himself available and consistently provides real-time education for all disciplines. He is the most caring physician I know.”
“Dr. Fabian shows examples of staff and patient respect by collaborating with the staff and patient to provide great and safe care. Safety is his top priority. He is present on the units and is a team player who shows a great level of respect to all staff no matter the discipline. He is exceptional.”
“What I have learned is that Dr. Fabian is the real deal. He is present with his patients, and he is on the floor rounding, often outside of his scheduled hours just to ensure the safety of the patients and team in a high-risk area. He has a wonderful communicative relationship with the Nursing team, Social Workers and Adjunct Therapy Department. We are so fortunate to have Dr. Fabian as a team leader in Behavioral Health.”
