Colorectal cancer survivor Vince Papale, a former member of the Philadelphia Eagles who inspired the movie “Invincible,” will headline a free Webinar on Tuesday, March 22 presented by Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset and Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey. “Be Invincible! At age 30, Papale achieved his lifelong dream of becoming a professional football player after making an open tryout for the Philadelphia Eagles. Papale will share an account of his colon cancer diagnosis and his inspirational story of treatment and recovery. Patrick Boland, MD, medical oncologist at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, will provide an overview of numerous colon conditions, preventive strategies, symptoms, diagnostic technologies such as CT scans and colonoscopy and advanced treatments.
