COVID-19 booster shots increase protection and are recommended for everyone ages 12 and older.
Teens and Adolescents 12 to 17 years old: Pfizer, at least 5 months after your second vaccination.
Adults 18 years or older: Pfizer or Moderna, at least 5 months after your second vaccination, or Johnson & Johnson at least 2 months after your initial vaccination.
Adults 18 years or older may choose which vaccine they receive as a booster dose using a “mix and match” approach approved by the CDC.
COVID-19 vaccines are working. All of the COVID-19 vaccines and boosters available in the U.S. are effective in reducing risk of infection, serious illness, and death. Booster shots provide extra protection.
