The June 24, 2021 session of Equitable Encounters: Real Talk About Race featured a virtual performance with the New Jersey Mental Health Players, an interactive program for health care workers. According to the Mental Health Services of America, people of color and those whose lives have been marginalized. The performance by the New Jersey Mental Health Players enabled participants to observe and experience overt racism and bigotry, which often leads to a mental health burden that is deeper than what others may face.
