Dos Santos was previously a Clinical Professor at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and part of Envision Physician Services as an Emergency Medicine EmBassador Travel Team Physician. Previously, Dos Santos was the Chief Medical Officer for New York Network Management, IPA.
Other leadership roles Dr. Dos Santos held include: Chief Medical Officer Navy Medicine East in Portsmouth, VA, where he was responsible for a Global DOD Healthcare System encompassing four continents, ten hospitals, eight outpatient clinics, and one dental clinic. Additionally, Dr. Dos Santos was a Navy and Marine Corps Emergency Medical Service Leader for the US Navy, Washington, D.C. as well as being a Senior Medical Officer in the US Navy serving in Al-Taqaddum, Iraq. While serving in Naples, Italy, Dr. Dos Santos held two positions: Chair of Emergency Medicine Department for the US Navy Hospital and the US Navy Emergency Management Department Head; Department Head of Aviation Medicine at the US Naval Hospital in Sigonella, Italy; and lastly, he was a Flight Surgeon for the Naval Operational Medical Institute in Pensacola, Florida.
Dos Santos earned a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine, a graduate degree in Public Health from Rutgers University, and an undergraduate degree in Biology from Kean University (Magna Cum Laude). He completed his Internal Medicine Internship and Emergency Medicine Residency at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, CA and a fellowship in Emergency Medical Services & Disaster Medicine from Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center in New Brunswick, NJ. A participant in the Patient Safety Leadership Academy at John Hopkins Armstrong Institute in Laurel, MD and the Chief Medical Officer Academy by The Joint Commission in Oakbrook Terrace, Il, Dos Santos is a prolific scholar and author who has published many research studies.
