In recent years, we have seen great advances in the field of surgery, including the growing use of robotic surgery for a wide range of medical conditions. Using only a few small incisions, robotic surgery results in less pain and faster recoveries than traditional open surgical procedures. On this episode of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset's Health Talk, Dr. Nitin Patel, a urologist and robotic surgeon with RWJBarnabas Health’s Medical Group who is on staff at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset, discusses the use of robotic surgery to treat urologic conditions, including procedures involving the prostate, kidney and bladder. The show is moderated by Dr. Douglas Ashinsky, an internist with RWJBarnabas Health's Medical Group.
