Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH) Somerset, an RWJ Barnabas Health facility, recently celebrated the graduation of seven physicians from its Family Medicine Residency Program.
Members of the Class of 2021 include:
- Oluwadamilola Adewumi, MD of Hillsborough, who is a graduate of Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Adewumi will be joining a practice in Maryland.
- Redwan Ahmed, MD of Somerville, who is a graduate of the St. Georges School of Medicine. Dr. Ahmed will join a hospitalist practice and the faculty of the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine. Dr. Ahmed was awarded the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine Resident Teacher of the Year award at graduation.
- Anjali Chand, MD of Somerville, who is a graduate of Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Chand will be joining a practice in Bernardsville.
- Esha Gurnani, MD of Somerville, who is a graduate of the Medical University of Lublin, Poland. Dr. Gurnani will be completing a geriatric fellowship in New York.
- Verity Johnson, MD of Mendham, who is a graduate of St. Georges School of Medicine. Dr. Johnson received the Clinical Excellence award at Graduation.
- Dae Kim, MD of Middlesex, who is a graduate of the American University of the Caribbean. Dr. Kim will be completing a palliative care fellowship in Philadelphia.
- Julia Yoon, MD of Somerville, who is a graduate of St. Georges School of Medicine. Dr. Yoon will be joining a practice in Clifton. She received the Barbara G. Franzblau Behavioral Health award at graduation.
The graduating class also presented its Teacher of the Year Award to Denis Kapkov, MD and Raj Patel, MD, hospitalist physicians with the RWJUH Somerset Family Medicine Residency Program.
