It is crucial for you to remember that our ER has always been open and is still open with excellent physicians who are ready to take care of your emergent and urgent needs at all times. Our ER is ranked in one of the top in the state.
Anytime you have any symptoms, which you think you may need to come to the ER, such as chest pain, shortness of breath, abdominal pain, any dizziness, passing out – any symptoms that you think you cannot take care of at home, or in a private doctor’s office, you should never hesitate in coming to our ER.

As you can see, neither of us are wearing a mask, but we are social distancing, and I have the mask in my hand, ready to put it on the minute I enter the hospital. Once a patient, or a visitor, or a staff member enters the hospital, then all the precautions come into play immediately, such as wearing a mask, washing hands frequently, and also the social distancing.
We’ve also gone the further distance of stringent cleaning of all our facility, particularly the rooms where patients are housed, the operating rooms, and that cleaning goes to the level where even the curtains are taken down and cleaned so there’s no residual virus anywhere in the hospital.
We still do have a strict visitor policy. It is for the safety of not only for our patients, but also our visitors to the hospital. There are some exceptions to the visitor policy where we would allow one visitor to come with somebody who is disabled in any fashion and requires assistance. Also, for somebody coming in for surgery or outpatient services, a visitor can accompany them also. Otherwise, our visitor policy will continue to be strict, and I don’t see that being lifted in a foreseeable future.
Last, but certainly not least, I’d like to thank our employees who have really been the true health care heroes of this pandemic, and also of our hospital. They have worked tirelessly during the pandemic and continue to work tirelessly to bring our hospital back to normal operations again. Also, it’s very important that I thank the members of the community and also the organizations in the community, and the fire department, police department, and many of our ambulance services who have been tirelessly supporting us, not only with their services, but with donations of food and various other items.
Just like you are taking every precaution…
