Michael Dardik, MD, was recently appointed Chairman of Pathology at Saint Barnabas Medical Center. Dr. Dardik joined SBMC as a staff pathologist in 2001 and has served as Associate Chairman, Department of Pathology, since 2015, Director of the Pathology Residency Program since 2011, and Section Chief of Surgical Pathology since 2003. He is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
Dr. Dardik received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University, Cambridge, MA, and his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, Philadelphia, PA. He completed his pathology residency at both Saint Barnabas Medical Center and Johns Hopkins Medical Center, Baltimore, MD, and a fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center, Philadelphia, PA. He is an avid researcher and a published author.
He currently serves as President of the New Jersey Society of Pathologists. He is a member of Program Directors Section of the Association of Pathology Chairs, delegate of the House of Delegates, College of American Pathologists; and fellow of the College of American Pathologists and American Society for Clinical Pathology. He serves on several committees at SBMC including the Research and Innovation Steering Committee, Graduate Medical Education Committee, Cancer Committee and Breast Program Leadership Committee. He has been named a Top Doc by New Jersey Monthly magazine.
