Children like Isabel Rita, New Jersey’s Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals 2018 Champion.
Four-year-old Izzy, also known as “Izzy Warrior Princess,” was born with a rare spinal cord tumor called ganglioglioma, which is intertwined with her spinal cord making it difficult to remove surgically. At just two-years-old Izzy had completed 42 rounds of chemotherapy. But Izzy doesn’t let the tumor define her, while she continues to receive therapies at Children’s Specialized Hospital, she loves to sing and dance and can often been seen performing at hospital dance-a-thon fundraisers. Watch Izzy’s inspiring story here.
