I want to find
Grilling and six-packs go together. We are talking about your abs, not beer! If you keep your protein choices lean and cook them on your grill instead of your frying pan, you will get close to that six-pack when you combine it with a cardio workout and weight training program.
Lean meats give you the protein you need without the fat. Choose boneless chicken breasts, 96% lean ground beef, sirloin and fish.
Use Fresh Flavor Enhancers
When flavoring, stay away from marinades that are greasy, sweet and salty. Too much oil and sugar can add extra calories. Sodium will help you retain water which will hide that six-pack. Try dry rubs and fresh herbs. Lemon juice and balsamic vinegar will help add flavor without sabotaging your efforts.
Don’t Eliminate the Carbs
Some believe that getting rid of carbohydrates will help them lose body fat and gain muscle definition. If you don’t eat carbohydrates, you will not be able to sustain a workout and burn that unwanted fat. The body uses carbs for fuel, and protein for tissue and muscle repair. It is also necessary to help you burn fat as it begins that metabolic process. Choose whole grain breads and cereal. Baked regular and sweet potatoes and whole grain pasta are also good choices.
Real Men Eat Their Veggies and Fruits
People sometimes neglect them but remember they are a low calorie way to fill up. They are loaded with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants and great on the grill as well!
Be sure to contact your medical or nutrition professional to determine whether you have any dietary restrictions.
