Collaborating with patients and families helps Monmouth Medical Center to continue to deliver the highest standard of safe, cost-effective, quality care. We currently are looking for council members, who will include patients, family members, loved ones and friends.
The Monmouth Medical Center Family Advisory Council helps shape current and future services by:
- Cultivating respectful partnerships between patients and families, who will collaborate Leadership and staff
- Strengthening communication between patients, families, leadership and staff
- Channeling information and concerns from patients and families to organizational leadership and offer effective solutions
- Offering education and training throughout the organization and community
- Providing input for clinical programs and operational issues that affect patients and families
Candidates should possess:
- A positive approach
- Enthusiasm about the hospital’s mission
- Ability to work in partnership with others whose background, experience and styles may be very different from their own
- Ability to share experiences constructively
Health care experience or background is not required to be on the Council. Members are required:
- To make a two-year commitment to serve on the council or sub committee
- Council members to attend one evening meeting per month
- Sub Committee members will attend select Hospital Committee meetings generally held during the day shift, frequency is determined by the type of committee but not more than once a month and will attend Patient Family Advisory Council three times a year. Sub Committee Members instead of joining a committee can ‘Partner with a Unit’.
