Cancer Support Services at Trinitas Regional Medical Center
Symptom Management Services
Pain is often a concern for people diagnosed with cancer. Trinitas Comprehensive Cancer Center (TCCC) has a dedicated board-certified symptom management physician to treat cancer-related pain. In coordination with the referring physician, our team develops an individualized pain and symptom management plan to meet the specific needs of each patient.
In addition to the use of pharmacology to manage pain, the team combines behavioral and supportive techniques, when appropriate, to create a comprehensive approach that encourages patient collaboration through patient and family education.
The foremost goal of symptom management is to alleviate a patient's pain and suffering, and thereby enhance the quality of life for both the patient and his or her family.
