Brain Related Injuries and Disorders
Treatment for brain-related disorders and injuries in New Jersey
Whether we consciously realize it or not, we rely on our brains to control every single action our body takes. However, these unimaginably complex organs are also incredibly fragile. Our skulls provide a certain amount of protection, but even the slightest amount of damage can dramatically affect how it functions.
Our Neuroscience Centers are equipped to handle all types of serious brain-related conditions including strokes, concussions, epilepsy and all forms of seizure disorders and brain and spinal tumors. Our integrated team of neurologists, surgeons and oncologists coordinate to provide our patients with the sophisticated care they need.
Stroke Centers
Our stroke centers specialize in emergency care, inpatient treatment and rehabilitation for stroke and transient ischemic attacks (TIA). Our designated team of doctors, nurses and therapists utilize our state-of-the-art diagnostic brain imaging capabilities, an intensive care unit led by medical professionals skilled in managing neurological emergencies, an inpatient stroke care unit with specially trained nurses and inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs.

Brain Injury Support Program
Opportunity Project partnered with Children’s Specialized Hospital, an RWJBarnabas Health facility, in an effort to provide a point of entry into the adult service market for people with special health care needs. This partnership has provided an opportunity to address challenges associated with child-to-adult transitions when it comes to programs, services, care, and community integration for these young adults.
