BLS Provider CPR (BLS)The AHA’s BLS Course provides the foundation for saving lives from cardiac arrest. It teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both prehospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on high-quality CPR and team dynamics.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Medical professionals who respond to cardiovascular emergencies in and
out of the hospital enhance their treatment knowledge and skills through
the AHA’s ACLS training courses. AHA’s ACLS offerings highlight
the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care and
immediate post-cardiac arrest care. They also cover airway management
and related pharmacology.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
The AHA’s PALS Course is for health care providers who respond to
emergencies in infants and children. The goal of PALS is to improve the
quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting
in improved outcomes.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
The NRP® course conveys an evidence-based approach to care of the newborn
at birth and facilitates effective team-based care for health care professionals
who care for newborns at the time of delivery. NRP utilizes a blended
learning approach, which includes online testing, online case-based simulations,
and hands-on case-based simulation/debriefing that focus on critical leadership,
communication, and team-work skills.
