Nicole Maguire, DO
- Emergency Medicine
Dr. Maguire is the Program Director for Emergency Medicine at Community Medical Center where she is excited to welcome her first class of 12 residents in 2021. She has served as the Osteopathic Program Director of Emergency Medicine at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center from 2009-2019 and as the Associate Program Director from 2015 - 2020. She has also held the position of Emergency Medicine Clerkship Director at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center from 2007-2020. She continues to work clinically as an attending physician at Community Medical Center.
Dr. Maguire graduated Cum Laude from Boston College and attended New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed a dually accredited residency in Emergency Medicine at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. She is board certified in Emergency Medicine by both the American Board of Emergency Medicine and the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine. She is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Medicine and is a Clinical Assistant Professor at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and St. George’s University.
Dr. Maguire’s areas of interest and research include academics, resuscitative medicine, international medicine and clinical ethics. She was the physician leader at Newark Beth Israel for Moderate Therapeutic Hypothermia from 2011-2020 and has lectured in many settings on the topic. She was also the Vice-Chair of the Bio-Ethics Committee at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center from 2018-2020. She currently resides in New Jersey with her husband, daughter and twin sons. She is an avid US Master’s swimmer and enjoys running, yoga, biking and time with family and friends.
