RWJ Barnabas Health Pharmacy Residency Leadership Forum: This forum is
designed for the PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residents in the RWJBarnabas Health
System to develop the essential skills of a clinical leader and collaborate
to advance the profession and practice of pharmacy in alignment with the
Pharmacy Enterprise Strategic Plan. This longitudinal experience consists
of 4 off site sessions to be held at various locations.
Preceptor in Training
The resident will act as a co-preceptor for P4 APPE students as well as
serving as mentor to the PGY1 residents.
Didactic Course Presentation
The resident will have an opportunity to present to P3 pharmacy students
in an advanced pharmacy elective course at FDU School of Pharmacy.
RWJBarnabas Health Network
Community Medical Center is member of RWJBarnabas Health, one of the largest
health systems in the country. As such, the resident will have frequent
interactions and networking opportunities will clinical pharmacists across
the state with many different backgrounds. Additionally, the resident
has an opportunity to rotate to different hospitals within the network
and experience a multitude of critical care rotations.
Teaching
PGY2 Residents will have the opportunity to participate in a teaching certificate
program offered by Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Pharmacy &
Health Sciences.
