About Us
The RWJBarnabas Mobile Health Training Center uses highly-qualified, diverse and engaging instructors to deliver content that incorporates science-based practices in a variety of American Heart Association, Emergency Medical Technician, and Pre-Hospital Medicine courses. We provide education for providers of all levels including Emergency Medical Responders, Respiratory therapists, Emergency Medical Technicians, Paramedics, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Physician assistants and Physicians. Our dedicated staff consists of over one hundred Educators are able to provide comprehensive education to over 20,000 students annually.
As New Jersey's largest provider of CPR instruction, the Mobile Health Training Center offers programs in Health Care Provider, Heartsaver CPR and First Aid, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support in accordance with American Heart Association guidelines. Every year we partner with the RWJBarnabas Resident Physician program to provide advanced education to over 250 new residents across 13 different hospitals.
The Mobile Health training center is also the largest provider of EMT programs in the State of New Jersey offering 27 Initial EMT programs throughout multiple counties in the state annually while maintaining a high standard of clinical excellence. We graduate over 300 students per year who go on to obtain their National Registry EMT with an over 90% first time pass rate. We continue our student’s and employee’s education by offering a wide catalog of continuing education courses approved by the state of New Jersey in multiple formats. We are also a certified training center with the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) and the Commission on Accreditation for Prehospital Continuing Education (CAPCE). This allows our In-person, online live and Hybrid programs to reach a multitude of students, from multiple states, per year.
Through our efforts with Hudson County Community college, the RWJBarnabas Mobile Health Training Center is proud to offer Paramedic Programs accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP) which set strict standards and guidelines for quality of education. In partnership with Mobile Health Services we are able to offer multiple routes of career advancement to our frontline employees.
Community outreach is also at the heart of our training center and its educators. Over the years we have partnered with multiple community programs, school systems and municipal governments to provide CPR and First Aide education to teachers, school nurses, first time parents, sports programs and the public. We believe in the importance of knowing CPR for everyone and actively participate in multiple health and safety fairs across the state to offer education and awareness to the public.
