On April 18th, RWJBarnabas Health’s The Institute for Nursing Excellence hosted a Mini-SUN (Simulation User Network) event with Laerdal Medical at one of the Institute’s facilities located at the Eisenhower Conference Center in Livingston. Over 70 simulationists and educators from throughout the region attended the event, which focused on improving interprofessional simulation and education. Speakers included Kevin Kurzweil, Director of Simulation, and Evan Holtz, Program Coordinator, from the RWJBarnabas Health Center for Professional Development, Innovation, and Research, Colleen Donovan, Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine and Simulation Director at RWJMS, Bill Wang, Emergency Medicine Physician at Jersey City Medical Center and Medical Director of RWJBarnabas Health Mobile Health, Liza Barbarello Andrews, Clinical Professor, Pharmacy Practice & Administration at the Rutgers Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, and Ed Coleclough, Educational Services Specialist from Laerdal Medical.
