The Children’s Health network at RWJBarnabas Health, in collaboration with Rutgers Health, offers a wide range of pediatric services, from primary care to specialized treatments and therapies.

The Children’s Health network offers a complete range of medical and surgical treatments for the most complex abnormalities and uses the latest technology and equipment to provide comprehensive inpatient, outpatient and specialty pediatric care. Our programs include:
- Children's Heart Center treats the most complex cardiac abnormalities with both medical and surgical interventions.
- New Jersey’s first designated pediatric trauma center
- New Jersey's only inpatient pediatric rehabilitation hospital
- New Jersey’s only Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Program at an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center
- Central Jersey's largest state-designated Level III neonatal intensive care unit
- A neonatal ICU with New Jersey's first extracorporeal membrane oxegenation (ECMO) unit
- State’s only dedicated Pediatric Transport program to transfer the sickest children to the right care at the right time

Our Pediatric Specialists
The Children's Health network of RWJBarnabas Health includes specialists in all areas of pediatrics, from pediatric surgery, urology and cardiology to oncology, hematology and pulmonology. Collaborative teams that include clinicians and researchers from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and the Child Health Institute located on The Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital campus provide family-centered care in a patient-centered, family-friendly environment.
Care teams consist of registered nurses, advanced practice nurses, social workers and others who integrate caring and compassion with evidence-based practices that treat the patient and family.
