Kathy Easter, MSN, RN, CCRN-K, Assistant Vice President, Nursing Excellence
Kathy Easter, MSN, RN, CCRN is the Assistant Vice President for Nursing Excellence at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH) in New Brunswick, New Jersey. In her role, Kathy leads the Patient Experience Department, Volunteer Department and the Magnet Recognition program at RWJUH and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset. She also serves as the facilitator for the Magnet Leader and Professional Nursing Practice Councils at RWJBarnabas Health. She has extensive clinical and leadership experience in critical care and perianesthesia care.
Kathy’s primary focus is to support and promote safety, service, and quality initiatives for patients, families, and the nursing and interdisciplinary workforces – recognizing that those working closest to point of service are instrumental in achieving excellent outcomes. Kathy considers herself a life-long learner who readily accepts challenges, embraces changes, and seeks innovative ways to improve clinical outcomes for patients, families, staff, and the communities she serves. Kathy has presented at local, regional, national, and international conferences on a variety of safety, service, and quality initiatives.
