Curriculum
Family Medicine Residency Program
Resident schedules include twelve rotations per year corresponding to the calendar months. The emphasis progresses from the inpatient to the outpatient setting. The RWJUH Somerset Family Medicine Residency Program fully supports the ACGME standards for clinical experience and education.
During office sessions, residents have the opportunity to perform many office-based procedures, including but not limited to IUD insertions, Nexplanon placement and removals, colposcopy, endometrial biopsies, joint injections (with and without ultrasound), nerve hydro-dissections, osteopathic manipulation therapy (OMT), skin biopsies and skin cryotherapy.
