Anesthesiology Residency
The Department of Anesthesiology is a fully accredited 4-year residency in anesthesia, with 1 clinical base year and 3 categorical years. Our primary emphasis is to train residents to become superior consultants in all modalities of anesthesia, in both elective and emergent situations. Residents are exposed to every anesthetic techniques and given increasing independent responsibility commensurate with their level of training. The didactic component of the resident training program is extensive and includes:
- Daily resident teaching conferences
- Twice weekly attending lectures
- Anesthesia mock orals exams
- Weekly Grand Rounds
- Monthly journal club
